Session Replay for Your Profile: What You Learn From Every Visit

A scan count tells you someone looked. Session replay, heatmaps and Session DNA tell you what they read, what they cared about and whether they came back.

When someone scans your card, most tools tell you one thing: a scan happened. That's a view count. It doesn't tell you whether they read your profile, what they cared about, or whether they came back a week later — which is what you actually need to know before you follow up.

Wallat is built around two questions: what do they know about me? and what do I know about them? Your profile website answers the first. Session replay and the analytics around it answer the second.

What session replay is

Session replay is a playback of a visitor's time on your profile website. You watch it like a video: where they scrolled, where they paused, which sections they read, and what they tapped — your portfolio, a case study, the Save Contact button, the link to book a call.

It's the kind of insight product teams usually get from dedicated analytics tools such as Hotjar, PostHog or Microsoft Clarity. In Wallat it's built into every profile, with nothing to install.

What else you see for each visit

Heatmaps and click analytics

Which parts of your profile get attention across all your visitors, and which buttons and links get clicked, with counts and percentages for each.

Scroll depth

How far each visitor got — a quarter, half, three-quarters or the whole page. It's the quickest way to tell a real read from a glance.

Session DNA

A one-glance summary of a single visit: a chart of time against scroll depth (flat stretches are reading, steep ones are fast scrolling), time spent in each section, and a behaviour type:

Engagement score

A score from 0 to 100 for each visitor, calculated from scroll depth, time on page, link clicks, save actions and return visits. Sort by it and your most interested contacts rise to the top.

The visitor timeline

Every visit by one person in order: when they first scanned, which QR or link they came from, which campaign it belonged to, and every click along the way.

In practice: you meet twenty people at an event. Three days later, two of them have come back to your profile — one spent four minutes on your case studies and tapped "Book a call" without finishing. That's who you follow up with first, and you know what to talk about.

How visitors are identified

Visitors appear under a friendly random name, like "Brave Owl from Lisbon," until they leave their details or you rename them. Return visits from the same phone and browser are recognised as the same visitor, so once you've named someone, their next visit shows up under that name.

Session replay and heatmaps work when your QR code is set to open your profile website — that's the page Wallat instruments. If a QR is set to WhatsApp, save contact or another link, you'll see the scan count only.
