Terms of Service
Last updated: June 16, 2026
Plain-English summary. These are the rules for using Wallat: who can use it, what you can publish, how billing works, what you're responsible for, what we're responsible for, and how disputes get resolved. You agree to them by using the Service.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Wallat Networking Intelligence FZCO ("Wallat", "we", "us"), registered at Premise No. DSO-IFZA, IFZA Properties, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. They govern your access to and use of the Wallat marketing site (wallat.id), the Wallat application (app.wallat.id), Wallat-hosted profile pages, our wallet passes, and any other product or service we provide (together, the "Service"). If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy, Cookies Policy, and Sub-processors list are incorporated by reference.

1. Eligibility
You may use the Service if you can form a binding contract under your local law. If you are in the EU/EEA, you must be at least 16. If you are elsewhere, you must be the age of majority in your country (typically 18). If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation, and "you" includes that organisation.
2. Your account
- You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Tell us at [email protected] immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
- Don't share or transfer your account without our written consent. Teams and Enterprise seat assignments are handled inside the product.
3. The Service
Wallat provides a digital business card platform: native wallet passes for Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, and Samsung Wallet; a public profile site; a dynamic QR code; and analytics and CRM-style intelligence for owners about visitor engagement. Features available to you depend on your plan (see /pricing). We may add, change, or remove features over time and will give reasonable notice for material removals.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to publish content that is unlawful, infringing, harmful, defamatory, fraudulent, or that violates anyone's rights;
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone;
- Send spam, scrape, brute-force, attempt to break, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service or its security;
- Resell, sublicense, or use the Service to build a competing product;
- Upload malware, illegal content, content depicting minors inappropriately, or content that exposes us to legal risk;
- Use the Service to track people without their knowledge — collect lead-form submissions, push subscriptions, or contact details only with the informed consent of the person providing them.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without prior notice depending on severity.
5. Your content
You keep all rights to the content you publish — profile content, photos, attachments. You grant Wallat a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, display, transmit, and reformat your content solely as needed to operate the Service (for example, resize an image so it loads fast, render your profile across devices, embed a QR code in your wallet pass). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups already taken, which expire on our normal rolling cycle.
You confirm you have the rights to all content you upload — including any photos, logos, or text that include other people or third-party brands. You are responsible for any user-generated content you collect via Wallat lead-capture forms.
6. Plans & billing
- The Starter plan is free. Paid plans (Pro, Pro Intel, Teams, Enterprise) are billed in advance — monthly or annually — in the currency shown at checkout.
- Billing is handled by Stripe. By starting a paid plan, you authorise Stripe to charge the payment method on file at the start of each billing cycle.
- Your subscription auto-renews until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Settings → Billing in the app; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
- Refunds. Subscriptions are not refunded on cancellation — when you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period and you will not be charged again from that point. Refunds are issued at our discretion for billing errors, duplicate charges, payment processing failures, or genuine exceptional circumstances. To request a refund, email [email protected] with your account details. Nothing in this clause affects rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence.
- We may change pricing for new billing cycles with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after a change means you accept the new price.
- Taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax) are added where applicable to your billing location.
7. Third-party platforms
Wallet passes are issued through Apple, Google, and Samsung wallet platforms. Wallat is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc., Google LLC, or Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. Use of those wallets is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for changes those platforms make to their pass formats, features, or distribution rules. If a wallet provider deprecates a feature, we will do our best to maintain equivalence.
8. Privacy & data
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. For visitor data collected on profile pages you publish, you (the owner) act as the controller and Wallat acts as your processor. For Teams and Enterprise customers we offer a Data Processing Agreement on request — write to [email protected].
You are responsible for complying with privacy laws in any jurisdiction where you collect data through Wallat — including any consent your visitors are entitled to (such as cookie consent in the EU). Wallat provides the technical means; you decide how to use them.
9. Intellectual property
Wallat, the wallat.id wordmark, our logos, the Wallat product UI and source code, and all original platform content are owned by us. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. Nothing here transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you. Don't remove or alter any proprietary notices.
10. Suspension & termination
- By you: cancel any time from Settings → Billing. You can also delete your account at any time; data is deleted within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations.
- By us: we may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, expose us to legal risk, or where required by law. We'll give reasonable notice except where speed is required to prevent harm.
- On termination: your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive — ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnification, governing law — survive termination.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. We don't guarantee that the Service will be error-free, that analytics will be perfectly accurate, that every visitor scan will be captured, or that integrations with third-party platforms will be available at all times.
AI-generated content (including bio text, extracted contact details from scanned business cards, and AI Profile Optimizer suggestions) is provided as a starting point only — you are responsible for reviewing and correcting it before publishing.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither Wallat nor its officers, directors, employees, or agents will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, business opportunity, goodwill, or data, arising from or related to the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.
13. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold Wallat harmless against any third-party claim arising from (a) content you publish via the Service, (b) your breach of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right. This obligation survives termination.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes, we'll notify you at least 30 days before they take effect — by email to your account address and via a banner on the marketing site. Older versions are available on request via [email protected].
15. Governing law & disputes
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence, the courts of Dubai, UAE have non-exclusive jurisdiction. For Teams and Enterprise customers, signed order forms may specify a different forum (for example DIFC Courts or arbitration under DIFC-LCIA rules).
16. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any plan-specific terms form the complete agreement between you and Wallat about the Service.
- Severability. If any clause is unenforceable, the rest stay in force.
- No waiver. Delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms; we may, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Force majeure. We're not liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
- Language. The English version of these Terms is the binding one even when translated.
